A cold Saturday with Kasia and Kamil left me with a sore throat. When I came home, I drank 3 teas with raspberry juice and lemon and took some medicine to warm myself up. Aside from that, I think we did pretty well.
I really was looking forward to doing this photoshoot and everything had been set some time ago but I had to change a model, when I finally saw Kasia's portfolio and asked her.

The idea came from the 1920s in France when people looked very chic and sofisticated. I really like this style and wish people recognized the importance of being smartly dressed more these days.

Velbon Sherpa has arrived!

Velbon Sherpa has arrived!

I didn't expect to have it delivered today since I ordered it on Saturday but yeah, it's here so I can tell something more about it. I've already tried it and I can say that I really like it.

It came in a long box and it turned out that it has a case, of which I wasn't sure because there was no information about it in the store. The case seems solid and waterproof, so that's a good thing:)

It's maximum length is 169 cm and it weighs nearly 2 k. It can carry 4 k maximum.

 

First of all, the tripod has bubble leveler (the green stuff in the photos) so you know exactly whether you have set your camera streight. You can of course set it vertically or horizontally, all you have to do is to turn the ball locking level.

The photo above shows a clamp binder and a knob thanks to which you can adjust the tripod to hand on a table or any flat object.

On the plate (the part which you can set vertically and horizontally) there's a screw to which you adjust your stuff. I tried and it holds the camera perfectly.

The legs can be adjusted to the length you are satisfied with and there are special locks to tighten the level. The ends of the legs are made of slip-resistant material so you can be sure the tripod stands firmly on the ground.

That's it for now. I think I've made the right choice but time will tell if it was a good buy. My first impression is possitive and I can't wait to try it outdoors soon.

I cannot believe that after 6 years of taking photos I finally bought a tripod. All those years of self-portraits without it. I usually put my camera on the pile of dictionaries or something - very professional :D

Anyways, those years have just ended and I can't wait to try a real tripod....

I was thinking about buying Velbon Sherpa 603, but the 803 has better reviews, so I just thought that I'd rather pay more than regret buying something that I would not be satisfied with. I hope it will arrive on Tuesday. I'm so exited about it:)

I'm trying to organize a photoshoot with a makeup artist on Thursday. We just can't find the right model for it, but if we find one, this will be the day for the tripod-testing:)

Memories of summer

Because I don't have any new photos to post on my blog I decided to add something from early September. I had a lot of fun doing this photoshoot and cooperating with Ania. I hope I will have something new this month - soon I'm going to Łódź for a very glamourous photoshoot. Everthing has already been planned, so unless the model or makeup artist cancell, there will be some exciting new photos on my blog to show you.

What is it that women like wearing men's clothes? I don't know exactly but I know that nothing compares to my man's sweater in the cool autumn evening, plus, oversized jackets are really going on right now. So, I asked Ksenia, the model, to borrow a jacket from some man that she knows and she also brought a hat and nice tights with a cute bow-print which accentuated her really long legs. Here it is: a photoshoot starring a man-sized jacket.

O co chodzi z tym, że kobiety lubią nosić męskie ciuchy? Dokładnie nie wiem ale wiem, że nie ma nic lepszego od swetra mojego mężczyzny w chłodny, jesienny wieczór, poza tym marynarki w dużych rozmiarach są teraz bardzo modne. Więc, poprosiłam modelkę Ksenię, żeby pożyczyła jakąś męską marynarkę. Przyniosła także kapelusz i fajne rajstopy z nadrukowanymi kokardkami, które podkreśliły jej długie nogi. A więc mamy sesję z męską marynarką w roli głównej.
